B. Bhim II
C. Vidyadhar
D. Arunoraja
Answer: Vidyadhar
Option c is the correct answer.
The Chandela King who faced Mahmud Ghaznavi was Vidyadhar. Vidyadhara was a Chandela king of central India who reigned from around 1003 to 1035 CE. He was the ruler of the Jejakabhukti region (Bundelkhand in present-day Madhya Pradesh). Mahmud of Ghazni invaded Kannauj in 1018 CE, and the Chandela king Vidyadhar was the ruler during that time. Vidyadhar resisted Mahmud's invasion but eventually withdrew from the battlefield, leaving his army behind. Mahmud's forces sacked Vidyadhar's camp and captured a significant amount of wealth. Mahmud later invaded the Chandela kingdom again in 1022 CE, besieging the Gwalior Fort and the fortress of Kalanjara, both under Chandela rule.
